The Yoga Therapy Combining her experience as both a behavior therapist and a certified yoga teacher, Laura Schacter, LPC, RYT, provides individual and small group yoga classes, by request.
Laura’s warm and nurturing presence and extensive training in trauma and the relationship between physical and emotional health set her classes apart for typical studio classes, and serve as an effective adjunct for mental health treatment.

Recognizing the connection between body and mind, our Yoga Therapy program combines principles of cognitive behavioral therapy with yoga practices to promote holistic health.
Our team of certified therapeutic yoga professionals works closely with patients to design personalized programs that address their individual needs. Yoga sessions focus on the connection between conscious breathing, physical movement and mental awareness, which can help reduce stress, improve mood and increase overall feelings of well-being.
During the sessions, participants learn specific breathing techniques (pranayama) and postures (asanas) adapted to their abilities and needs. Additionally, mindfulness and meditation practices are explored that can help cultivate greater self-awareness and self-compassion.
Yoga Therapy at The Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Health is offered both individually and in small groups, allowing patients to benefit from the personalized attention of our therapists while enjoying the support and camaraderie of other participants.
