Michelle FeeneyMichelle Feeney, LCSW, is the Clinical Director of The Center for Cognitive and Behavioral Health, LLC (CCBH). As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), she provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families.  Michelle completed her BA at Dartmouth College, her Master of Social Work at Columbia University, and has been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).  Michelle’s work is guided by the belief that treating the whole person, through evidence-based practice, with a heavy emphasis on mindfulness and meditation techniques, allows for the most rewarding therapeutic experience.  Michelle greatly enjoys guiding clients through the process of self-discovery and actualization.

Prior to developing CCBH, Michelle Feeney worked with various mental health and substance abuse treatment centers in NYC, as well as Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan. Her career has been devoted to treating children, adolescents, and adults for substance use disorders, mental health disorders and dual diagnoses.  Additionally, she was the Assistant Director at Mid-Fairfield Child Guidance Center’s Prospects program, an Extended Day Treatment program for children ages 5-12. Michelle’s clinical background provides diagnostic and therapeutic experience with the following DSM-V diagnoses for all ages: Depressive Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Disruptive Behavior Disorders, and Substance Use Disorders.
